Development Works Worth Rs 81 crores Inaugurated In Chakaldi: People’s Happiness And Grief Are Mine, Says CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan says that public’s happiness and sorrow is his own happiness and sorrow. I am working day and night for the welfare of the people of the state. Mahayagya of development is being conducted in the entire state under Vikas Parv. Foundation stones and Bhoomi Pujans are being done for many construction and development works. Facilities are being expanded through roads, electricity, drinking water, water for irrigation and various schemes.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing the Vikas Parv program at Chakaldi. The Chief Minister inaugurated development works worth more than 81 crores in Chakaldi and announced to open a college there as well.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that earlier production used to be less due to lack of irrigation system. Farmers had to face many problems in land irrigation. Now the work of providing water to every farmer’s field is being done through many irrigation projects. Pattalai Lift Irrigation Scheme inaugurated today in Chakaldi will provide water for irrigation of villages like Pattalai, Amirganj and Palaspani. Around 889 hectares of agricultural land of 661 farmers in three villages will be irrigated.

The Chief Minister said that Bhoomi-pujan has also been done for Jamonia and Chatarkota irrigation schemes today. Gradually, through various irrigation schemes, water will be supplied to every farmer’s field for irrigation. Earlier many problems had to be faced even for drinking water. Now the water of Narmada is being delivered to the homes.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that at one point of time there were no roads to reach this entire area. It used to take a whole day to travel anywhere. It was unimaginable to the public that good roads would be built here. Now a network of magnificent roads has been spread all around. Groundbreaking has been done for many roads. Farm roads will also be made.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that revolution is taking place in the state in agriculture sector. Farmers are harvesting three crops in a year. Moong procurement work is going on in the state. Under the Kisan-Kalyan Yojana, the smallest farmer is getting an amount of Rs 12,000 in a year. The previous government had imposed loans on the farmers, the work of paying them off was done. The production of agriculture has increased in our government and the economic condition of the farmers has strengthened. Crop loan, which was available to farmers at 18 percent interest, is now being given at zero percent interest.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that earlier due to lack of money, the sisters had to face many difficulties in meeting the needs of the children and the household. Now with the Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana, women are now able to fulfill their small needs. Under the scheme, an amount of one thousand rupees is being deposited in the accounts of the sisters. This amount will be gradually increased to Rs.3000.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that earlier when I was an MLA, I along with my colleagues used to get daughters married. Today, marriages of many daughters of the state are being conducted with great pomp under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah/Nikah Yojana. On the purchase of a house, shop or farm in the name of sister, daughter and wife, one per cent stamp duty is charged in the registry, while three per cent on purchase in the name of a man.

30 percent reservation is being given to daughters in police recruitment also. Under the Mukhyamantri Teerth-Darshan Yojana, the elderly are being taken on pilgrimage by aeroplane.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that poor women had to go to work after giving birth to a son or daughter. In Sambal Yojana, the government gives an amount of Rs.4000 to the mother before the birth of the child and Rs.12000 after the birth, so that she does not have to go to work immediately. She can take care of her son and daughter very well. Due to reservation for women in local elections, today many of our sisters are serving the public. Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to reserve half the seats for women in local body elections.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that along with training, 8 to 10 thousand rupees stipend will also be provided to the youth learning work in various fields under the Mukhyamantri Sikho-Kamao Yojana. Registration is being done for the youth who want to learn work and the institutions that teach work under the scheme. Along with this, the children of poor, farmers and middle-class families should not face any problem in getting higher education, for this the state government will pay the full fees for admission of students in medical and engineering colleges and higher educational institutions.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that an amount of Rs 4500 will be deposited in the accounts of the students who go from their village to another village for studies. Mama Coaching Classes’ are being conducted continuously so that sons and daughters can prepare better for competitive examinations. It has also been decided to increase the amount of old age pension from Rs.600 to Rs.1000.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Chakaldi is the center of many nearby rural areas.
