Development Of West Bengal Possible Only If TMC Is Out Of Power: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said West Bengal cannot achieve socio-economic progress while the Trinamool Congress rules the state.

Modi West

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said West Bengal cannot achieve socio-economic progress while the Trinamool Congress rules the state. He spoke on Friday at a BJP rally in Durgapur, West Burdwan district.

PM Modi told the crowd that voters must remove the Trinamool Congress to unlock West Bengal’s development. He said only the BJP can deliver large-scale industry and jobs.

The Prime Minister pledged that a BJP government would make West Bengal one of India’s most industrially advanced states. He cited Tripura, which he said has moved ahead after the BJP took office there.

PM Modi also pointed to Odisha, which he said is now moving quickly towards major industrial expansion under BJP rule.

The Prime Minister recalled that people once travelled to Kolkata from across India to earn a livelihood. The trend has reversed, he said. Young people from West Bengal now migrate out for even menial work. He called this a warning sign that demands change.

The rally took place in the industrial township of Durgapur, once a symbol of Bengal’s manufacturing strength. PM Modi said the contrast between past promises and present stagnation shows why change is urgent. He framed the vote as a test between corruption and clean growth. Now.

Industrial Anxiety, Murshidabad Riots

PM Modi alleged that recent communal riots in minority-dominated Murshidabad occurred under the patronage of some Trinamool Congress leaders and elements in the police. He said the unrest has scared potential investors.

The Prime Minister accused the state’s police of bias whenever such clashes erupt. He alleged that extortion rackets run by ruling party figures drive industry away. Unless voters oust the Trinamool Congress, he warned, West Bengal will fall into shambles.

The Prime Minister invoked the rape and murder of a junior doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in August last year. He also cited last month’s reported rape of a law student on her college campus in Kasba, South Kolkata.

PM Modi said both cases shocked the nation. He accused the ruling party and the administration of trying to shield the accused in each case.

The Prime Minister closed by urging voters to back the BJP to restore law, attract investment, and advance West Bengal’s development. He said the choice is clear: remove the Trinamool Congress or accept continued decline.
