Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday to discuss the roadmap for ‘Viksit Delhi@2047’.

During the meeting, Sandhu briefed the Prime Minister on his initial experiences at Lok Niwas and outlined planned measures aligned with the national development vision.

Sharing the update on X, Sandhu confirmed the interaction and reiterated his commitment to advancing Delhi’s growth trajectory.

Earlier, on March 13, he also met President Droupadi Murmu, seeking guidance on key issues concerning the national capital.

Sandhu recently reflected on public engagement during a visit to Rashtrapati Bhavan, where he interacted with citizens enjoying the seasonal blooms at Amrit Udyan. The visit underscored efforts to connect governance with public participation.

The Lieutenant Governor conducted high-level reviews on security, sanitation, and healthcare preparedness.

He held discussions with senior officials, including the Health Secretary and the Additional Chief Secretary for Food and Civil Supplies, stressing coordination and timely response mechanisms.

He also interacted with senior administrative and police officials to assess ongoing initiatives.

Earlier this week, Sandhu held consultations with Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and her Cabinet colleagues. The discussions focused on development priorities and urban governance challenges.

Lok Niwas highlighted a shared commitment to transform Delhi into a global capital. The dialogue emphasised collaboration to achieve long-term growth aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision.
