The Delhi High Court will issue an order on Aam Aadmi Party plea seeking the allotment of office space on June 5.
After hearing the case, Delhi HC reserved the order on Monday on a plea of AAP seeking allotment of space for party office on a temporary basis.
Judge Subramonium Prasad set June 5 for the order’s reservation and June 10 for the request for the permanent allotment of land for the construction of an office.
As per the undertaking given in the Supreme Court, AAP must vacate its DDU Marg office before June 15. Senior Counsel prayed that they should give space at DDU Marg Office.
Earlier, the Delhi High Court had asked the central government to file a reply to a petition of the Aam Aadmi Party seeking the allotment of land for their office on temporary basis.
Currently, the High Court is hearing two petitions moved by the Aam Aadmi Party seeking temporary or permanent allotment for their office in central Delhi.
Earlier, Counsel for the central government, Kirtimaan Singh stated that the central government doesn’t have any land vacant at DDU Marg. Central Counsel also submitted that Aam Aadmi Party was offered land in Saket in 2024 but they did not accept it.
The party never asked for land in Central Delhi before it became a national party in 2023.
Yesterday, during the hearing, the court asked if they could give the land in the possession of the Delhi minister to the party for their office on a temporary basis, subject to the outcome of the petition.
