Delhi HC To Hear Petition Against Grace Marks In NEET Examination On July 5

The Delhi High Court will listen to complaints about grace marks in NEET exams on July 5th. During the hearing, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta spoke for NTA. He said NTA wants to move all cases from different High Courts to the Supreme Court as it will file a transfer petition to transfer petition against grace mark in 7 different High Courts to the Supreme Court. A petition is also filed in the Supreme Court about NEET. The court has sent a notice to NTA.

The petitioner’s lawyer demanded a halt on the counselling Process, However, Tushar Mehta argued that the court had already heard on the same and therefore it was not right to stop the admission process. The petition filed by Shreyanshi Thakur and others argues that the decision of the NTA to grant grace marks is arbitrary and is affecting thousands of students. Petitioners also claim that the cases of paper leaks have also come to notice.

Candidates argue that the alleged paper leak of NEET is a violation of the right to equality mentioned in Article 14 of the Constitution because this act gave an unfair advantage to some candidates who had opted to take the exam in a fair manner. Not only the paper leak, candidates had made many other allegations regarding the exam

NTA has given a clean chit to itself in grace marks in the NEET examination case. People are still filing petitions in the Supreme Court about NEET. Tanmaya Sharma and 16 others from Kota want to stop the admission process. They say they scored high but might not get into colleges because of the extra marks.
