Cultural Festival Honoring Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay’s Memory Presents Fascinating Performances

The CCRT Cultural Festival aims to spotlight the rich cultural heritage of the nation. Scheduled from March 5th to March 14th, 2024, a special stage will be adorned for International Women’s Day celebrations.

The 10th edition of the Heritage – Kamaladevi Mahotsav – Fair of Artists and Craftsmen is being held in honor of Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay, the founder and inaugural chairperson of the Center for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT). This ten-day cultural extravaganza takes place at the CCRT Complex in Dwarka, New Delhi, starting from 5:00 pm onwards.

Running from March 5th to March 14th, 2024, CCRT officials have emphasized that this cultural festival is an annual commemoration of Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay’s legacy, highlighting her pivotal role as the CCRT’s founder and first president. Notably, prominent media organizations from the region have also been extended invitations to attend.

The primary aim of this cultural festival is to showcase the diverse and rich cultural heritage of the country.

A special stage will be adorned in celebration of International Women’s Day

On Friday, March 8, 2024, in honor of International Women’s Day, a platform titled “Kahaani Nari Shakti Ki – Draupadi Se Draupadi Tak” will be presented, focusing on the theme of women empowerment and commemorating the contributions of women freedom fighters. The program will also feature cultural performances by scholars of the CCRT.

Malvika Joshi is scheduled to deliver a lecture on March 14th

Renowned theater personality and storyteller Malvika Joshi is set to deliver the tenth Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay Memorial Lecture on Thursday, March 14th, 2024, at 5:00 pm. Alongside this event, CCRT is hosting an exhibition titled “Raja Ravi Varma Art Gallery,” featuring masterpieces created by CCRT Fellows. Additionally, CCRT is extending invitations to 25 master craftspeople from various parts of the country to enrich the program.
