In a bid to curb illegal mining and construction activities, Gurugram Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav has issued stringent directives to officials overseeing the Aravali range.
Yadav emphasized the need for vigilant monitoring and immediate action against any suspicious activities in the region.
Under Yadav’s instructions, local authorities have already seized 3 dumpers carrying illegal mining materials, imposing fines totaling Rs 6.94 lakh.
Additionally, the Regional Transport Authority has levied fines amounting to Rs 90 lakh on overloaded vehicles this month alone.
Yadav further instructed Sub Divisional Magistrate Sonu Bhatt to personally inspect and halt any illegal construction activities within the Sohna subdivision.
He stressed the need to swiftly demolish any unauthorized construction on government land in the Aravali area under the PLP Act.
Enforcement Actions Against Illegal Constructions In Sohna; PLP Act Notices Issued & Demolition Underway
Vijay Chaudhary, Regional Officer of the Pollution Control Board, reported issuing PLP Act notices to 3 individuals involved in illegal constructions in the uncultivable land areas of Sohna. Measures are already underway to demolish these structures.
The intensified crackdown however reflects the Gurugram administration’s firm stance against environmental degradation and unlawful activities in the ecologically sensitive Aravali range.
