Constitution Day Event Highlights Multilingual Statute Release Led By President Murmu In Parliament

President Droupadi Murmu will chair the national Constitution Day function on Wednesday inside Samvidhan Sadan’s Central Hall in New Delhi today.

She will digitally release the Constitution statute in nine Indian languages to strengthen inclusive access to constitutional knowledge nationwide. The release will include Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Bodo, Kashmiri, Telugu, Odia and Assamese versions prepared for public dissemination today.

The President will lead parliamentarians in reaffirming democratic traditions while emphasising commitment to core constitutional values guiding national governance.

Top dignitaries, including Vice-President CP Radhakrishna, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Speaker Om Birla, will attend the ceremony. The Vice-President and Speaker will address assembled members before the President delivers her Constitution Day keynote address.

Officials will release a Hindi commemorative booklet featuring calligraphy from the original Constitution created by the Ministry of Culture.

The programme will feature a collective Reading of the Preamble led directly by the President during the central ceremony.

Union Ministries, State Governments and local bodies will organise thematic events designed to honour constitutional values across the country.

Citizens will participate through online Preamble readings on MyGov.in and Constitution75.com, supporting wider public constitutional engagement today. Participants will generate certificates and share content on social media while promoting respect for constitutional heritage nationwide.

National quiz competitions and essay blogs on ‘Hamara Samvidhan – Hamara Swabhima’ will encourage youth participation across multiple platforms. Cultural programmes, including exhibitions, debates, short films, poster competitions and rangoli events, will highlight constitutional awareness from Panchayat to Parliament.

The 2025 Constitution Day celebration will operate as a national festival uniting citizens worldwide through shared democratic and constitutional pride.
