Congress Releases Final Candidate Lists For Haryana Assembly Elections

The Congress party expanded its list of candidates for the October 5 Haryana Assembly elections, unveiling a fourth set of names late Wednesday night. This new list includes five additional candidates, bringing the total number of declared candidates to 86 out of the 90-member Assembly.

The new candidates are:

– Former Haryana Youth Congress chief Sachin Kundu for Panipat Rural
– State youth wing spokesperson Rohit Nagar for Tigaon
– Parimal Pari for Ambala Cantt
– Satbir Dublain for the Narwana-SC reserved seat
– Sarva Mitra Kamboj for Rania

Earlier in the day, Congress had announced its third list of 40 candidates. This list features Aditya Surjewala, son of Congress Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Surjewala, who will contest from Kaithal. Other notable names from this list include:

– Raman Tyagi for Yamunanagar

The deadline for filing nomination papers is September 12. The single-phase Assembly elections will take place on October 5, with vote counting scheduled for October 8.
