A video featuring Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge uttering the phrase ‘Abki Baar, 400 Paar’ in reference to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has gained viral traction on social media. The ruling party takes it as an opportunity and makes a meme out of it. The ruling party dropped a post on the official BJP X handle with a humorous caption that reads, “PM Modi be like, ‘I need new haters, the old ones have become my fans…’ The clip captures Kharge suggesting that the BJP, with its current majority of 330-334 seats, could surpass 400 in the upcoming elections, eliciting laughter from the Treasury bench, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The BJP, led by Jagat Prakash Nadda, is setting ambitious goals for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, aiming to surpass its 2019 performance of 303 seats. The party has already initiated its election campaign, unveiling a theme song highlighting the achievements of the NDA government. The song, titled “Sapne Nahi Haqeeqat Bunte Hai, Tabhi Toh Sab Modi Ko Chunte Hain” (We do not spin dreams but weave reality, which is why people choose Modi), was launched by Nadda in the presence of the Prime Minister on January 26.
Reflecting on the conditions a decade ago, Prime Minister Modi stated that the country faced bleak prospects, with the generation before 2014 giving up hope. With the repeal of Article 370 and the opening of the Ram temple to the public, the BJP aspires not only to secure a third term for PM Modi but also to strengthen its presence in the Lok Sabha in the upcoming elections.
Recalling the 2019 slogan ‘Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar’ (Once more, Modi government), the BJP is gearing up for an assertive electoral campaign.
