Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi makes an impromptu halt to assist an individual who had encountered an accident while riding a scooter.

On his route to the Parliament, Rahul Gandhi, a prominent leader of the Congress party, made an impromptu halt to assist an individual who had encountered an accident while riding a scooter. A video shared by the party’s official Twitter account captured the scene, showcasing Gandhi’s empathy in action.

As Gandhi’s convoy progressed, he stepped out of his vehicle to approach the opposite side of the road, where a scooter lay toppled. An accompanying car stood behind the scooter, and the two drivers involved in the minor accident were present on-site.

Amidst a conversation between the drivers, Gandhi, accompanied by his security personnel, arrived at the scene to assess the situation. He inquired, “You’re not hurt, are you?” while his bodyguards assisted the scooter rider in collecting his belongings strewn on the ground.

The Congress party acknowledged this compassionate gesture, referring to him as a “Jannayak” in a tweet. The tweet stated, “While en route, Rahul Gandhi saw that a scooter rider had fallen in the middle of the road. He halted the car, approached the driver, and inquired about his well-being.”

Gandhi was en route to deliver a speech during the no-confidence motion debate on behalf of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha (the Lower House of the Indian Parliament).

This occurrence follows the reinstatement of Rahul Gandhi’s Lok Sabha membership. After the Supreme Court’s stay on his conviction in a defamation case, the Lok Sabha Secretariat announced the withdrawal of Gandhi’s disqualification. As a result, he will once again represent Wayanad in the Lower House, enabling his participation in parliamentary proceedings.
