Congress Has Been Rejected By The People Of India, Says PM Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday continued his sharp attack on the Congress, asserting that people across the country have rejected the party and its politics.

Addressing a gathering in Assam, the Prime Minister said recent election results reflect the public’s growing confidence in the BJP’s development-oriented governance.

PM Modi said the Congress has been ‘uprooted’ from Maharashtra in recent municipal elections and suffered major defeats in several states. He noted that despite having ruled Maharashtra for decades, voters rejected the party due to its lack of a clear development agenda.

The Prime Minister added that similar trends were visible in Bihar and Kerala.

Highlighting the BJP’s electoral performance, PM Modi said voters in Bihar once again gave the party a strong mandate despite decades of alternative rule.

He also pointed to the BJP’s success in local body polls in Kerala, including securing the mayor’s post in Thiruvananthapuram, as evidence of increasing public trust.

The Prime Minister emphasised that people want good governance, which the BJP has consistently delivered.

Referring to the Kaziranga Elevated Corridor project, he said the BJP has demonstrated that economic development and environmental protection can move together.

The project aims to safeguard wildlife while boosting the local economy.

PM Modi criticised the Congress over rhino poaching in Assam, stating that cases declined sharply under the BJP, with zero poaching recorded in 2025. He also accused Congress of backing infiltrators, contrasting it with the BJP’s efforts to protect indigenous communities.

The Prime Minister performed the Bhoomi Pujan for the Rs 6,950-crore Kaziranga Elevated Corridor project and flagged off two new Amrit Bharat Express trains, strengthening connectivity between the Northeast and northern India.
