Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday addressed a public rally in Alappuzha, Kerala.
Addressing the public rally, Amit Shah announced the issuance of biometric ID cards to approximately 2.17 lakh fishermen in Kerala to support their safety.
Furthermore, the government has allocated a significant amount of Rs 260 crore to the Fisheries and Aquaculture Infrastructure Development Fund in the coastal state.

Accusing the Congress and Communist parties, Amit Shah stated that they are providing a safe haven to terrorists in Kerala.

Shah asserted that the upcoming election is focused on elevating India to the rank of the world’s third-largest economy. It aims to create three crore Lakhpati Didis, empowering individuals across the nation.
Additionally, the election seeks to establish India as a global leader in agriculture, manufacturing, and technology. It represents a transformative opportunity for prosperity, empowerment, and global prominence.
All 20 Lok Sabha constituencies in Kerala are set to vote in a single phase on 26 April 26. The counting of votes will take place on 4 June.
Campaigning for the second phase of elections will end on 24 April.
The second phase of Lok Sabha elections on 26 April will see voting in 89 constituencies across 13 states.
