Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde asked the administration, police, SDRF and local bodied to be alert and focus on rescue work.
Following the Indian Meteorological Department’s warning of heavy rain in several Konkan districts, including Mumbai and other areas, CM Shinde issued his directions. He pleaded with the populace to lend support in every manner they could to the government and emergency services.

He requested that all agencies coordinate a plan of action to assist the population and obtain timely information from the State Disaster Management Cell and the IMD. Additionally, he gave the administration instructions to alert the public about the IMD concerns.
The Chief Minister stressed that the State catastrophe Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) had high levels of readiness and requested the administration to evaluate potential catastrophe and accident-prone locations. To reduce the risk of flooding, dams and ponds should have a regulated discharge system installed in addition to a measurement of their water level. He has informed the officials that in the event of flooding, traffic in regions affected by flooding should be halted and redirected to other routes.
CM Shinde requested that food grains, medications, and other relief supplies be made accessible to the flood-affected districts on a priority basis by the administration.
