Chief Priest of Ram Mandir
Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest at the Ram Mandir, has criticized the opposition leaders for questioning the consecration ceremony of the Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya scheduled for January 22, 2024. He emphasized that the event is a matter of faith, devotion, and belief. He believes that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has the blessings of Lord Ram, which is why he holds power.
Sanjay Raut of the Shiv Sena (UBT) took a sarcastic tone, suggesting that there was no need to invite PM Modi as he would have attended the event on his own, except for places like Manipur. He implied that the event was significant enough to attract the Prime Minister’s presence.

Congress leader Salman Khurshid raised concerns about whether the invitation was only being extended to one party, indicating a potential politicization of the event. He stressed that God belongs to everyone, and the invitation should have been more inclusive.
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust invited PM Modi to place the idol of Lord Ram in the temple’s sanctum sanctorum, and he accepted, expressing his good fortune in witnessing this historic occasion. This development has sparked a political debate surrounding the event’s nature and significance.
