In a significant operation, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended two individuals involved in the illegal trade of infants following raids across multiple locations in Delhi. The searches carried out on Friday evening, resulted in the rescue of two newborns from a residence in Delhi’s Keshavpuram area.

Preliminary investigations indicate the involvement of individuals in the buying and selling of newborn children. Presently, the CBI team is interrogating a woman accused of selling children and the individual suspected of purchasing them.

Officials from the probe agency have confirmed the detention of both the woman responsible for selling the infants and the man involved in their purchase. They are currently undergoing questioning as part of the ongoing investigation. The CBI remains committed to unraveling the full extent of this criminal network and ensuring that all those involved face legal consequences.
Neeraj from Sonipat, Haryana, Indu Parmar from Paschim Vihar, Delhi, Pooja Kashyap from Narang Colony Kanhaiya Nagar, Delhi, Aslam from Patel Nagar, Delhi, Ritu from Kerala, Delhi, Anjali from Mayur Vihar, Delhi, and Kavita from Delhi were arrested by CBI.
