Candidate List To Be Out Soon! BJP Core Team Meets To Discuss Candidature

Following multiple rounds of brainstorming, the Central Election Committee (CEC) of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) met for the first time on Thursday at party headquarters to make the candidate list. PM Narendra Modi and other senior leaders were present, and there was talk that many sitting MPs—possibly as many as one-third—might be rested and that several well-known candidates from the younger generation might run for elections.

The candidature for BJP

Amit Shah, the home minister, and J P Nadda, the party president, paid Modi a visit prior to the CEC meeting. It is assumed that during their conversation, they talked about the guidelines for the candidate selection process.
According to sources, Shah and Nadda discussed over 250 seats during their brainstorming sessions with state leaders, including 50 in Uttar Pradesh, from which the party hopes to register a landslide victory and increase its total of 62 seats won in 2019.

First candidate list of BJP to be out by….

First list is probably on Friday or Saturday, according to party sources. When benching some of the incumbents, age and “nonperformance” are thought to be important considerations. However, party sources stated that the majority of current OBC MPs would be re-elected because the BJP has become the community’s clear favorite and because the top brass is reportedly happy with the performance of OBC MPs.

85 of the 303 Lok Sabha MPs for the BJP are OBC, or roughly 30% of the total, which shows how well-liked the party is among OBC voters. According to sources, BJP leaders are also being “generous” in their seat-sharing arrangements with NDA allies, including smaller caste-based parties in states like Uttar Pradesh, because they see these parties as essential to securing 370 seats for the party and 400 for the alliance, in line with Modi’s call for the alliance to win 400 seats.
