He mentioned that the government has announced Rs 10 lakh compensation for families of deceased adults (if any) and Rs 5 lakh for the families of the deceased minors. Additionally, Rs 2 lakh will be given to the seriously injured and Rs 50, 000 to those with minor injuries.

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari Claims Negligence

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Manoj Tiwari visited the site of the collapse late Monday night. After inspecting the ongoing search and rescue operations, Tiwari raised concerns about possible negligence in the building’s construction.

“The building was a four-storey structure, and the construction had been completed. Workers were still finishing the POP (Plaster of Paris) work. According to police reports, 20-22 people were trapped, and rescue teams have freed 12 of them,” he stated.

Tiwari further emphasized that there was “no doubt” that negligence was a factor in the collapse, suggesting that the construction had been compromised. “A newly-built four-storey building has collapsed… Whoever is responsible will not be spared,” he said.
