In a significant development, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police, in a joint operation, recovered a Pakistani drone in the border area of Tarn Taran district.

The paramilitary force made the announcement on Saturday, highlighting the success of their collaborative efforts.

A BSF spokesperson stated, “This successful operation is a result of prompt information sharing and well-coordinated efforts between BSF troops and Punjab Police, underscoring their commitment to eliminating the illicit drone menace.”

This recovery comes on the heels of a similar operation on 20 June, when the BSF retrieved three China-made Pakistani drones in Punjab.

The first incident saw BSF troops recovering a drone in the Amritsar district.

In the second incident, a joint operation between BSF and Punjab Police led to the recovery of another drone in Tarn Taran district.

The BSF identified both drones as Chinese-made DJI Mavic 3 Classic models.

The BSF, entrusted with the responsibility of safeguarding the 553-km long, challenging India-Pakistan border in Punjab, faces numerous challenges, including severe weather conditions and persistent smuggling attempts.

Despite these hurdles, BSF personnel remain dedicated, guarding the borders round the clock with unwavering commitment.

These recent recoveries highlight the ongoing efforts and cooperation between the BSF and Punjab Police to address the threat posed by illicit drones, ensuring the safety and security of the border regions.
