The Crown Prince’s participation comes as India prepares to host the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi on September 12 and 13 under its 2026 chairship.
Trade and energy security, however, remain important elements of India-UAE relations.
Sheikh Khaled will use his visit to deepen India-UAE engagement in economic cooperation and shared prosperity.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi also arrived in New Delhi earlier on Friday to attend the BRICS Summit. Minister of State Sanjay Seth received the Egyptian President at the airport.
The arrival of senior leaders comes ahead of the two-day summit, which will bring together representatives from BRICS member and partner countries.
The arrival of Sheikh Khaled and other international leaders, however, marks the final phase of preparations for the summit in the national capital.
