Ahead of the awards ceremony, the organisers hosted Media Samvad 2026, a day-long conference on the theme Media: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.
Senior journalists, editors, media leaders and industry experts discussed the changing media landscape, the future of journalism, artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and the opportunities and challenges facing the industry.
The winners were selected by a distinguished jury chaired by Shashi Shekhar, Editor-in-Chief of Hindustan.
The panel included senior editors, media executives, former Indian Newspaper Society President Rakesh Sharma, Central Information Commissioner Ashutosh Chaturvedi, and several other prominent personalities from the Indian media industry.
The jury evaluated nominees on multiple parameters before finalising the recipients.
