BJP leader Kangana Ranaut launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, accusing them of plundering the people and deceiving them with false promises. Speaking at a gathering in Mandi district, Ranaut questioned the Congress’s track record, particularly in Himachal Pradesh. She criticized the party for failing to deliver on promises such as providing financial aid to women and creating job opportunities.
Ranaut urged the people of Himachal Pradesh to be vigilant against the Congress’s deceptive tactics and to align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a ‘New Bharat’. She emphasized the need to reject false promises and to prioritize development under the leadership of Modi.
Responding to recent remarks by Congress leader Digvijay Singh regarding Katchatheevu Island, Ranaut condemned the mindset behind such comments, suggesting that it hindered development in remote areas during the Congress’s tenure.

The territorial and fishing rights dispute over Katchatheevu Island has become a focal point in the lead-up to the general elections, with both the BJP and the opposition trading accusations.
Kangana Ranaut’s foray into politics has seen her actively supporting BJP candidates, such as Hema, and condemning sexist remarks made by Congress leaders like Randeep Surjewala. She commended Hema’s dedication to the arts while denouncing derogatory comments against her.
Ranaut, fielded from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi constituency, continues to balance her political engagements with her film career. Her upcoming project, ‘Emergency’, not only showcases her acting talent but also marks her directorial debut.
