BJP Slams Congress Leaders For Silence On Women’s Atrocities In West Bengal, Telangana

The BJP criticized Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi on Friday for their silence on recent violence against women in West Bengal and Telangana.

Women's Atrocities

In a scathing critique, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday targeted Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi for their silence regarding recent incidents of violence against women in West Bengal and Telangana.

Highlighting the issue on social media, Poonawalla pointed out that following the Uttar Dinajpur Chopra Talibani flogging incident, another shocking video has emerged from Howrah.

He described how assailants beat the family, delivered kangaroo justice, and brutalized a woman by dangerously cutting her hair with scissors.

According to Poonawalla, such incidents have become commonplace in West Bengal, indicating that it is not ‘Maa Mati Manush’ but a Talibaani mentality and culture propagated by TMC.

Poonawalla pointed out multiple violent incidents in Sandeshkhali, Cooch Behar, and Howrah, emphasizing that women are completely unsafe in West Bengal while the opposition remains silent.

In West Bengal, Poonawalla detailed how attackers mercilessly beat a woman and her family in Domjur, Howrah, and cut their hair with scissors. He identified the accused Isha Lashkar, Abul Hossain Lashkar, Sayem Lashkar, Makbul Ali, Israil Lashkar, Arbaz Lashkar, and Mehebullah Midde as individuals closely associated with the TMC Party.

BJP Spokesperson Highlights Violence Against Poor Woman In Telangana

The BJP spokesperson also mentioned a similar incident in Telangana, stating, “Not just in West Bengal, but in Telangana too, a poor woman was beaten up and tied to an electric pole. Her only fault was her poverty.”

Poonawalla criticized Congress leaders for their silence on these matters.

“Where are Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Vadra, Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Priyanka Chaturvedi? None of them has spoken out,” he said.

He accused the opposition of revealing their “true face” through their silence, adding, “They don’t speak for Swati Maliwal, they don’t speak for Sandeshkhali. They remain eloquently silent when such disturbing visuals emerge from West Bengal and Telangana.”
