Vasundhara Raje Scindia - given ticket but will she be CM face?
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released it’s second list of candidates for the upcoming Rajasthan assembly elections. 83 candidates figured in that list. Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia, leader of opposition R S Rathore, Vishwaraj Singh Mewara, royal family member of Udaipur are the notable candidates of those 83.

Vasundhara will be contesting from her traditional bastion of Jhalrapatan, Rathore has been given the Taranagar assembly ticket instead of Churu. Vishwaraj is to contest from Nathdwara. Former BJP State President Satish Poonia has been fielded from Amber, Tickets were given to nine women candidates to try their luck. Jyoti Mirdha, former Congress MP who recently joined the saffron party, will be contesting the Nagaur seat.
Apart from those notables, Narpat Singh Rajvi, son-in-law of former Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, has been denied ticket from his traditional seat of Vidhyadhar Nagar in Jaipur and instead given Chittorgarh ticket .
Former ministers in Vasundhara cabinet, Pratap Singh Singhvi, Srichand Kriplani, Otaram Devasi, Pushpendra Singh Ranawat, Anita Bhadel, Vasudeo Devnani, Kalicharan Saraf were among the 83 contestants.

It should be noted that on October 9 the saffron outfit has released its first list which consisted of 41 candidates including 7 sitting MPs. Elections are scheduled for November 25 with the counting scheduled for December 3.
