Happiness Index Report 2024 is Completely Biased: Dr. Rajeshwar Singh

BJP MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh analyzed the situation of India and Pakistan with figures and said- the biased portrayal of India by international agencies is condemnable.

Sarojini Nagar MLA Dr Rajeshwar Singh challenged the recently released Global Happiness Index and drew attention to the disparities between India and Pakistan through statistics while questioning the credibility of the international agencies releasing it. Dr Singh highlighted many facts on his social media platform X.

Discussing the economic disparities between the two countries, Dr Rajeshwar Singh said that India’s GDP is 3.39 trillion dollars while Pakistan’s GDP is 376 billion dollars. Our country’s foreign exchange reserves are 642 billion dollars but Pakistan’s are only 8 billion dollars. Inflation in Pakistan is 23% and in India, it is 5.09%.

Through statistics about social differences between India and Pakistan, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh said that the literacy rate in our country is 77% while in the neighboring country, it is 59%. India’s life expectancy is 71 years while Pakistan’s is 66.5 years. Talking about the poverty rate, India’s rural area is 11.6% and urban area is 6.3% while Pakistan’s poverty rate is 40%.

Referring to the differences between the two countries, Dr Rajeshwar Singh said that Pakistan’s position as the epicenter of terrorism gives protection to the 12 most dangerous foreign terrorist organizations including ISIS. There is a high level of religious violence against minorities, especially Hindus, in the country. There are alarming rates of crimes against women and children and frequent incidents of physical abuse and child labor. Every year 2.5 lakh children die due to unsafe drinking water.

BJP MLA Dr Singh in a post on X criticized the Global Happiness Index for ranking Pakistan above India despite the disparities between the two countries. He said that the biased portrayal by international agencies is a malicious attempt to tarnish India’s remarkable growth and global standing. Dr Singh urged the need to challenge and reject this biased assessment that fails to recognize India’s progress and potential.
