The Delhi BJP Minority Front organised a grand Tiranga Yatra in the Jama Masjid area today, showcasing patriotism and national unity.
Hundreds of citizens from the Muslim community participated under the leadership of Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva.
The Yatra began from Meena Bazaar near Jama Masjid and concluded at the Red Fort, with participants waving the Tricolour and raising slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, ‘Vande Mataram’, and ‘Hindustan Zindabad’.
The event saw Muslim women, youth, elders, and children walking together, their hands holding the Tricolour and eyes reflecting pride. Many roads in Jama Masjid echoed with patriotic chants.
Delhi BJP Minority Front President Anish Abbasi, former Minority Commission Vice President Atif Rashid, Front In-charge Qari Mohammad Haroon, along with Irfan Salmani, Shabana Rehman, and Imtiaz, joined the procession.
Addressing the gathering, Virendra Sachdeva said the Yatra’s route from Jama Masjid, a religious landmark, to the Red Fort, a symbol of democracy, carried a clear message. He added that India stands above religion and will always remain so.
He praised the Muslim community for displaying their love for the country, calling it an example for all.
Message of Unity and Patriotism
Sachdeva informed that Tiranga Yatra processions had been held across Delhi for the past four days. On the final day, 52 remaining Mandals hosted similar rallies, with officials, district presidents, and local workers participating.
Anish Abbasi described the Tricolour as India’s identity, unity, and pride. He said the Muslim community had shown that patriotism is the voice of every Indian heart, not of any single religion.
Atif Rashid called it a historic day for Jama Masjid. He credited the inclusive atmosphere to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Additionally, Rashid also highlighted the vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’.
Qari Mohammad Haroon reminded the gathering that people of all communities contributed to India’s independence. He emphasized that their sacrifices continue to inspire unity among citizens.
