BJP Leaders Participate In Cleanliness Campaign In Temples

The president of the BJP, J P Nadda, took part in the exercise at the Guru Ravidas temple in Karol Bagh here on Sunday as part of the party’s nationwide cleanliness drive in temples and their environs.

In various regions of the nation, the BJP’s top brass, comprising both Union and chief ministers, took up the broom to generate enthusiasm ahead of the January 22 consecration of Lord Ram’s idol at the Ayodhya temple.

The chief ministers of Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath and Bhupendra Patel, respectively, participated in the cleanliness campaign in Ayodhya and Gandhinagar.

Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw attended the exercise at a temple in Baleswar in Odisha.

According to Nadda, every member of the BJP is participating in the campaign at various temples and will continue to participate in “bhajan-kirtan” activities through January 22.

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s attendance at the consecration ceremony on January 22 and assistance with their stay, the BJP will also be congratulating people on their visit to the Ram temple.

With one of the BJP’s long-standing promises fulfilled with the temple’s opening to devotees, the party is hoping to benefit politically from the anticipated April–May Lok Sabha elections, which are anticipated to generate enthusiasm among a sizable portion of the populace.
