BJP National President JP Nadda, during his two-day visit to Bihar, criticized other political parties for engaging in personal gain through dynastic politics. He was in the state to participate in the BJP’s mega membership drive, Sangathan Parva, Sadasyata Abhiyan 2024.
Nadda cited historical examples, such as Congress’ opposition to BR Ambedkar’s election to the Lok Sabha, and praised the BJP for celebrating Constitution Day on November 26. He emphasized the party’s dedication to marginalized communities like Dalits and its efforts to make them key stakeholders in government schemes.

Highlighting the membership drive’s goal, he said the BJP aims to renew 10 crore memberships. Nadda further emphasized the party’s inclusive nature, stating, “In our party, there is equality of opportunity along with rights. No one is big, no one is small… everyone has equal opportunity.”
He contrasted this with other parties, saying, “In other parties, you can become president only if you belong to a particular family or caste.” Nadda also pointed out that in BJP, all leaders, including the Prime Minister, must renew their membership every six years.
Earlier, Nadda visited the Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib Gurudwara in Patna and inaugurated a regional eye facility at IGIMS Patna. He also opened super-specialty hospitals in Bhagalpur and Gaya, boosting healthcare in the state.
The membership drive started on September 2, with Prime Minister Modi becoming the first member.
