Voting for the first phase of the Bihar Legislative Assembly Election 2025 will begin at 7 AM today (November 6) across 121 constituencies in 18 districts, marking a crucial start to a high-stakes contest that could shape the state’s political future.
The Election Commission of India has, however, deployed thousands of polling officers and security personnel to ensure smooth and fair voting.
Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs) are in place across polling stations, with real-time monitoring conducted from district headquarters.

This election sees a fierce contest between the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), comprising the BJP, JD(U), LJP (Ram Vilas), and allies, and the Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan) led by RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav and the Congress.
The second phase of voting will take place on November 11, covering 122 constituencies. Officials will count all votes on November 14, with results expected to determine the next political direction of Bihar.
