Gaya Airport plays a key role in facilitating international travel, particularly for Buddhist pilgrims, while Darbhanga Airport is emerging as a vital hub for regional air travel in North Bihar.

Construction of the Purnea Airport is already underway, with land acquisition for the project completed.
