Meenatai Kamle - gives a big jolt to Uddhav
Meenatai Kamle , the head of the women unit of Shiv Sena ( Uddhav Thackeray faction ) , has quit the party in favour of Shiv Sena ( Eknath Shinde faction) terming it as a real Shiv Sena. This development has dealt a massive blow to Uddhav Thackeray as she was seen to be close and loyal to the Thackeray family.

Ever since the Shiv Sena was formed by Late Balasaheb Thackeray, Meenatai Kamle played an important role for the formation and strengthening it. She brought many people and converted them into active Shiv Sainiks. She was very close to Late Balasaheb as well as to his spouse. Later, when Uddhav took over the party’s reign, Meenatai developed a fine rapport with Uddhav and his wife Rashmi.
Late Balasaheb was so impressed with Meenatai that he used to call her Veerangana, or Ranragini. She was instrumental into creation of sizable women in the state into active Shiv Sainiks. Later on, in recent times, she seemed to be unhappy with Uddhav over the rising of someone named Sushma Andhare into the forefront. Andhare was seen as an Anti Hindu and Anti Shiv Sainik once upon a time.

Andhare was entrusted with more responsibility while Kamle were sidelined lately.
