Artists from Assam, including Tarali Sarma, Mousumi Saharia, Zublee Baruah, Nahid Afrin and Achurjya Borpatragohain, will join the celebrations.
A contingent of 1,000 performers from Assam will present some of Hazarika’s most celebrated compositions, including “Manuhe Manuhor Babe” and “We Are in the Same Boat, Brother”.
The group also performed during the opening ceremony of the centenary celebrations.
The organisers will bring another 1,000 college students from Assam to the national capital through a specially arranged train.
The programme is expected to welcome nearly 5,000 people, including musicians, students, diplomats, Governors, Chief Ministers, Union Ministers and other prominent personalities.
