Bharat Express News Network Chairman and Managing Director Upendrra Rai will address the 14th edition of e4m ‘News Next 2025’, a major annual ENBA News Next conference that brings together leading names from the media industry. CMD Rai is scheduled to speak from 1:30 pm to 1:45 pm on the theme ‘The Changing Face of TV News.’
The event will take place on December 13, 2025, at The Eros, Nehru Place, New Delhi. It is presented by DS Group and co-presented by Blue Star. Bharat Express CMD Upendrra Rai, who also serves as Editor-in-Chief of Bharat Express, announced his participation on X, writing that he was pleased to speak on the changing landscape of TV news.
CMD Rai’s 2024 Address Highlighted Media as the Fourth Pillar
Also, Upendrra Rai had addressed News Next 2024 as well, where he described the media as the fourth pillar of democracy. He said that along with the legislature, executive and judiciary, the media forms the backbone of the nation.
CMD Rai stressed that the rapid spread of information through mobile phones makes credibility and neutrality essential. He urged the industry to showcase more positive news stories and criticised yellow journalism. Citing former US President Thomas Jefferson, he said, “Where there is press, there is a good government.”
Additionally, He also pointed out that AI presents challenges but also opportunities for creators and advised news organisations to adopt hybrid models.

This year, CMD Rai’s address will examine the evolving role of television news in the digital age. The media ecosystem is undergoing rapid transformation driven by AI, social media and changing viewer behaviour.
