Upendrra Rai, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Bharat Express News Network, attended the 13th annual function of Patanjali Acharyakulam in Haridwar on Wednesday.
The event was themed ‘Character Building and Prosperity: The Foundation of Education’.
Baba Ramdev was present, warmly welcoming CMD Upendrra Rai to the stage and recalling their 25-year association.
On stage, Bharat Express CMD addressed the audience, underlining the importance of education, character-building, and prosperity. He further highlighted Bharat Express’s journey from its inception to becoming a major news network, attributing its growth to Baba Ramdev’s guidance.
CMD Upendrra Rai illustrated his speech with a story from the essay Aacharan Ki Sabhyaata by the renowned Hindi writer Sardar Purn Singh, which he studied in class 12.
The story depicted a poor boatman saving a woman from a flood, while her wealthy relatives did not risk their lives.
CMD Upendrra Rai explained, “True character emerges naturally through actions and integrity; it is not taught in schools or bought in markets.”
Baba Ramdev lauded CMD Upendrra Rai for his dedication and hard work, noting that he built a major media network from scratch.
The two shared warm interactions on stage, and Ramdev appreciated CMD Rai’s anecdotes shared during the event. Several photographs captured the cordial moments between them.
The annual function included cultural performances, chanting sessions, and discussions highlighting the role of Acharyakulam in promoting education and yoga.
Both Baba Ramdev and CMD Upendrra Rai encouraged the youth to pursue knowledge, ethics, and moral values. The event symbolised not only educational development but also the preservation of Indian culture and heritage.
Through his address, Bharat Express CMD urged young attendees to focus on learning, ethical conduct, and contributing positively to society. The function reflected a harmonious blend of education, culture, and character-building, reinforcing Acharyakulam’s vision of nurturing responsible and enlightened citizens.
