India is celebrating its 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm today. At the Noida headquarters of Bharat Express News Network, the national flag was hoisted in a ceremonial event.

CMD and Editor-in-Chief of Bharat Express, Upendrra Rai, conveyed his message of good wishes to all colleagues, which was read out by Bharat Express Director and Group Managing Editor, Radheshyam Rai.

Professor Dr Rachna of JIIT Noida was present as the chief guest and highlighted the importance of environmental protection while hoisting the flag. The ceremony began with a tribute to the heroes of India’s freedom struggle.

CMD Upendrra Rai Extends Independence Day Greetings

CMD Upendrra Rai, in his message, said, “My dear colleagues, today we are all celebrating this historic festival of Independence Day with pride and joy. Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all of you on this auspicious occasion. Independence Day is not just a festival, but a reminder of our culture, the story of the freedom struggle, and the sacrifice of the brave martyrs who gave us this freedom. This day reminds us of our resolve to uplift the nation and our duties.”

He further added, “This year, the theme of Independence Day has been kept as ‘New India’. A New India which is energetic, full of power, and determined for the motherland. In the same way, all of us together are working to strengthen and advance the fourth pillar of New India. With the mantra of ‘truth, courage, and dedication’, we are not just running a channel, but fulfilling a national responsibility.”

Youth Will Write the Future of India

CMD Upendrra Rai also mentioned President Draupadi Murmu in his message, saying, “As President Hon Draupadi Murmu Ji highlighted in her Independence Day message yesterday, the energy, innovation, and dedication of the youth are India’s biggest strengths. She said the young generation will make this Amrit Kaal a golden period. Indeed, the future of India will be written by youth like you, who will help India achieve developed nation status by 2047. Alongside them, senior colleagues’ experience will continue to guide the youth correctly. Today, India is progressing rapidly.”

He further added, “Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is moving towards becoming the third-largest economy in the world. Initiatives like Digital India and Startup India have energised our youth. Today, India has over one lakh startups and has emerged as a startup hub. Chandrayaan-3 and the Gaganyaan Mission have further strengthened India’s identity in global space science.”

Professor Dr Rachna Expresses Her Views

Professor Dr Rachna of JIIT Noida said, “Today is 15th August. India became free from British rule after a long struggle and sacrifices. This day is not just history, but an inspiration, a responsibility, and a direction for coming generations. As an Indian citizen and a responsible member of the founder of Bharat Express News Network, I believe freedom is not only a political concept but is also linked to self-reliance, duty, and collective responsibility.”

She added, “On this auspicious occasion, I urge all of you to bring more excellence into our work, promote honesty and cooperation within the office, and strive to bring positive change in society. The true meaning of freedom is fulfilled only when it is treated as a responsibility, not merely a right.”

Message to Save the Environment

Dr Rachna also emphasised environmental protection, saying, “Do not let any natural wealth go to waste. Natural resources are limited, and even infinite wealth cannot replace them. We must protect and conserve national resources. We are fortunate to live in an independent India, and it is our responsibility to make this India even better. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat.”

Sadyant Kaushal Mesmerised Everyone with Patriotic Song

During the ceremony, DPS RK Puram student Sadyant Kaushal mesmerised attendees with a patriotic song. The event concluded with the release of white pigeons into the sky, symbolising freedom and independence.
