The Bhajanlal Government has executed a major bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring 108 IAS officers. The state government unveiled the extensive changes late Thursday.
The reshuffle involved 98 officers being reassigned to new roles, while 10 officers who had been awaiting placement received new postings in the Industries Department.
Tina Dabi
Among the key changes, Tina Dabi, who gained national attention for her 2023 marriage to fellow IAS officer Pradeep Gawande, has been appointed as the District Collector for Barmer. Gawande will now serve as the Collector for Jalore.
In a notable exception, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Akhil Arora and Principal Secretary of the Home Department Anand Kumar will remain in their current positions. Arora, who has served in the Finance Department since October 31, 2020, and received a promotion to ACS in 2022, will continue in his role. Anand Kumar, who has been with the Home Department since October 28, 2022, will also keep his position.

The reshuffle also brought significant changes to other departments. Shubra Singh will move from ACS of the Health Department to Chairman of Roadways. Gayatri A Rathore will transition from the Tourism Department to Principal Secretary of the Health Department. Bhaskar Sawant will become Principal Secretary of the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), while Samithi Sharma will take over Animal Husbandry.
Shreya Guha will switch from the Transport Department to Rural Development. Vaibhav Galaria will move from Agriculture to Urban Development and Housing as Principal Secretary. T Ravikant will assume the role of Principal Secretary of Mines and Petroleum Department, and Rajesh Yadav will return from central deputation to serve as Principal Secretary of the Autonomous Governance Department. Bhanu Prakash Eturu will transfer from Chairman of all three power companies to Secretary of the Tribal Development Department (TAD), with Aarti Dogra replacing him as Chief of the Discoms.
Other Appointments
Other appointments include Vikas Sitaramji Bhale, who will now lead the Rajasthan Civil Services Appellate Authority, and Neeraj K Pawan, who will transition from Banswara Divisional Commissioner to administrative secretary in the Sports Department. Rashmi Gupta will take over as Jaipur Divisional Commissioner, succeeding Aarushi Ajay Malik. Jitendra Soni, newly appointed as Jaipur Collector, will also manage additional duties for Dudu and Jaipur Rural Collector roles. Pragya Kewalramani, the Udaipur TAD Commissioner, will handle additional responsibilities as Udaipur and Banswara Divisional Commissioner.
This extensive reshuffle follows several months of anticipation since the formation of the new government in December 2023, reflecting a strategic realignment within the state’s administrative framework.
