Bengaluru Tragedy: Hit-and-Run Claims Two Lives, One Severely Injured

Two family members lost their lives, and another individual sustained critical injuries due to a devastating hit-and-run accident near ISRO Circle.

In a heart-wrenching incident that unfolded in Karnataka’s capital city, two family members lost their lives, and another individual sustained critical injuries due to a devastating hit-and-run accident near ISRO Circle, close to MS Ramaiah in Sadashivanagar.

According to local accounts, a Maruti Eeco, traveling from the direction of MS Ramaiah Hospital, collided with a parked car and an auto before careening into a motorcycle and speeding away. The collision initially struck a pedestrian standing on the roadside and subsequently hit two individuals riding a Dio scooter.

Swiftly responding to the accident, nearby residents managed to halt the fleeing car. Out of the three occupants, two managed to escape the scene, while the mob apprehended one suspect, identified as Akash, who was later handed over to the police.

The victims, tragically a father-son duo named Raghu and Chiranjeevi, hailing from Kuvempu Nagar in Bengaluru, were engaged in the book dealing business. The fatal mishap occurred as they were returning home from work on that ill-fated evening. Meanwhile, Vasu, the injured party, was in critical condition and admitted to the hospital for immediate medical attention.

A case concerning the incident was promptly registered at the Sadashivnagar traffic police station. The deceased were laid in the mortuary, and their family members were duly informed by the authorities. Reports circulating locally indicate that the arrested individual, Akash, was allegedly under the influence of alcohol during the accident. Additionally, he is purported to be the son of a member of the Magadi Zilla Panchayat. Law enforcement has launched an intensive search operation to apprehend the two remaining suspects involved in the tragic incident.
