A young woman, visibly intoxicated, was captured on camera hurling insults at police officers on Bengaluru’s Church Street late Sunday night. The incident unfolded as the officers were attempting to assist her in returning home.
In a video that circulated, the intoxicated individual was observed directing her verbal rants not only at the police officers but also at local residents present at the scene. Consequently, the situation necessitated the involvement of another woman to accompany the intoxicated girl to her residence.
During the course of events, the woman was observed using physical force to push the assisting woman, who was attempting to help her get sorted with the police and board an autorickshaw.
The Church Street area is known for its abundance of pubs, bars, and restaurants. The girl had parked her car in a no-parking zone within that vicinity. The situation escalated when traffic police addressed the issue of her car being parked in a prohibited area, resulting in a dispute between the girl and the traffic police. Subsequently, the girl escalated the situation further by directing verbal abuse towards the police officers.

As tensions heightened and in the absence of a female police officer, the police sought assistance from a woman present at the scene in an attempt to ensure the intoxicated girl’s safe return home.
Ultimately, after some effort, the police managed to arrange for an autorickshaw to transport the girl home.
Although the status of any potential legal action against the girl remains unclear, there is the possibility of repercussions for her actions, either for her use of abusive language towards the police while intoxicated or for the violation of parking regulations in a no-parking area.
