Home Minister of Karnataka, G Parameshwara, stated on Sunday that the police are also looking into the “jealousy factor” theory about the Rameshwaram Cafe explosion. The lawmaker claimed that the explosive’s material and mode of operation seemed to be identical to those of the Mangalore explosion in 2022. On the other hand, the BJP has claimed that the explosion and the purportedly pro-Pakistani slogan uttered in the Karnataka assembly are related. Four persons were taken into custody by the Bengaluru police on Saturday to be questioned.
1. According to G Parameshwara, the case is being looked into by the authorities.”We are carrying out more research. Eight teams have been formed, and each is focusing on a different area and going in a different direction. We have gathered a number of CCTV clips. We are investigating every possibility, including the possibility of jealousy. I also urge the opposition to work with us rather than turning this into a political dispute. If there is a connection to the Mangaluru blast, we do not know about it. Technically, they have used the same system and comparable material. NSG arrived here yesterday. We’ll track down the individual. Yesterday, we briefed the CM in a meeting.
2. Four people were detained on Saturday by the Bengaluru Central Crime Branch. They are not charged with detonating the bomb. They might have assisted the person who planted the bomb at the cafe, though, according to a police source. The explosion injured ten people.
3. Commissioner of Bengaluru police B Dayanand stated on Saturday: “Although some people have been taken into custody, no arrests have been made as of yet. Based on the information gathered at the scene, multiple police teams are investigating different angles.

4. Not only are those in custody being questioned about the primary suspect—who is believed to have carried out the blast—they are not suspects.
5. The CCTV footage capturing the suspect entering the cafe has been located by the police. Idli was his order. An officer informed me that he was eating while conversing on his phone.
