Mamata Banerjee injured on road accident
Mamata Banerjee, the leader of the Trinamool Congress, was injured in a car accident in West Bengal on Wednesday. She was on her way back to Kolkata after attending an official function in the Burdwan district of Bengal. In the accident, she sustained a minor head injury.
Banerjee hurt in abrupt braking
Banerjee’s car abruptly stopped to avoid colliding with another vehicle, according to news agency PTI. She was hurt when the abrupt braking caught her off guard. A car abruptly pulled in front of the chief minister’s convoy, according to ANI. The car’s driver was compelled to engage the brakes. She had flown to East Burdwan to speak at an administrative meeting, according to the local police. The weather prevented her from taking the helicopter back to Kolkata hence she was traveling by car.
“Shortly after leaving the venue a car strayed into the convoy and her driver had to apply the brakes abruptly. Since she always sits in the front seat,” the police told media “She was tossed forward and her head hit the windshield,” they said.
Bengal CM takes no halt till
It was not a serious injury. They said that Mamata Banerjee left for Kolkata without even stopping for medical attention. When she gets to the capital city of West Bengal, she will visit doctors. Mamata Banerjee stated today that she had not been discussed seat sharing with the Congress. She said that the party had rejected a proposal from the Trinamool Congress.
“Our party has decided that we will fight alone in West Bengal,” she added. Mamata Banerjee further claimed that she was unaware that her state of West Bengal would be traversed by the Congress’ Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.
