Meanwhile, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) relocated the survivors to a shelter.

Residents described being jolted awake by tremors, rumbling noises, and rattling items shortly before the building collapsed.

Many fled their homes in a panic, leaving their possessions behind as the building collapsed.

Rescuers pulled both trapped individuals from the debris after nearly four hours of intense operations and transported them to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis has instructed the NMMC Commissioner and the Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner to implement strict measures against those responsible for the incident.

The investigation into the causes of the collapse is ongoing as authorities seek to hold accountable those involved in this tragic event.
