Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, questioning police theory, asked how can a handcuffed accused open fire?
“When both the hands of Akshay Shinde were tied, how could he fire the bullet? The school in question is owned by a BJP leader. There have been attempts from the beginning to suppress this incident and the matter has been closed by the encounter. This incident should be investigated by a retired High Court judge,” Deshmukh said.
Further more Congress leader, Prithviraj Chavan described it as a ‘cold blood murder’.
“He was murdered in cold blood. Nobody will believe that it was an encounter. I have demanded an inquiry from the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, who was in Mumbai at the same time. I don’t believe Maharashtra Police under the current dispensation will be able to do justice. The real perpetrators of this crime will never be found,” Chavan said.
