Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the enduring strength of India’s spiritual traditions during the ‘Pran-Pratishtha’ event at the Ramnathaswamy Temple in Ayodhya. Adityanath emphasized that, despite changing governments, India’s saints have preserved the nation’s spiritual continuity.
He spoke about the historical connection between Ayodhya and Tamil Nadu, recalling how Lord Ram worshipped Lord Shiva in Rameshwaram after building a bridge to Sri Lanka. Adityanath participated in the ‘Kumbhabhishek’ and ‘Prana Pratishtha’ ceremonies at the newly renovated temple and completed a circumambulation ceremony around the Shivalinga.
Adityanath lauded the Ramnathaswamy Temple’s construction as a significant step towards the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ vision, which promotes national unity. He linked these efforts to Prime Minister Modi’s vision, highlighting that spiritual consciousness helps reinforce India’s oneness.
He also noted the success of the Kashi Tamil Sangamam and how Ayodhya Dham has now forged connections with Tamil Nadu, thanks to Ayyaji’s efforts. Adityanath criticized those who seek to divide the nation for political gain, contrasting their actions with the work of groups like the RSS and Vishwa Hindu Parishad that strive for unity.
Former RSS Sar Karyavahak Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi praised the South Indian-style temple for bridging the cultural gap between North and South India. He described Lord Shiva and Lord Shri Ram as spiritual symbols uniting the two regions.
