Arvind Kejriwal Set To Appear Before Delhi Court Today

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is scheduled to appear before the Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday. This development coincides with the conclusion of his custodial remand with the Enforcement Directorate.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is scheduled to appear before the Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday. This development coincides with the conclusion of his custodial remand with the Enforcement Directorate.

This comes a day after Kejriwal was denied immediate relief from the Delhi High Court. The court said it would not interfere with his arrest by the ED.

The bench of Justice Manmohan and Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora is scheduled to hear the matter.

Additionally, the Delhi High Court is set to hear a public interest litigation (PIL), seeking the removal of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from his position as the Chief Minister of the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.

Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita Kejriwal on Wednesday stated that her husband, who is in the custody of the ED in connection with the excise scam, will reveal the truth regarding the case in court on 28 March.

In a video message, Sunita stated that ED did not recover any money from their residence.

She said, “In the so-called liquor scam, ED has conducted more than 250 raids. They are searching for the money of this so-called scam. They have found nothing yet. Arvind Kejriwal has said that he will reveal everything in court on 28 March. He will reveal where the money of the liquor scam is. He will also provide proof.”

Earlier on 21 March, the probe agency had arrested Kejriwal in connection with an alleged excise policy-linked money laundering case.

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday issued notice to the ED on a petition moved by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal challenging his arrest and also challenging the ED remand granted by the trial court while not granting any immediate relief.
