During the budget session in Parliament, Anurag Thakur criticized the Congress for their demand for a caste census. He remarked that people who do not understand their own caste are advocating for a caste census. Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav reacted sharply to Thakur’s statement.
Anurag Thakur commented on the opposition’s statements, saying that his speech deeply hurt the sentiments of the opposition, causing their entire ecosystem to start “screaming.” He claimed that the opposition feels entitled to ask questions because they consider themselves privileged.
Thakur further asserted that the ancestors of the opposition used derogatory terms for the backward, Dalits, and deprived people of the country. He accused those who have benefited from their legacy of reacting poorly when faced with challenging questions, thereby making a fool of themselves by spreading lies.
