Amit Shah Travels By Road To Dadiya After Helicopter Fails To Take Off

Union Home Minister Amit Shah travelled by road to Dadiya after his helicopter failed to take off due to adverse weather in Jaipur.

Helicopter Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on a day-long visit to Rajasthan, had to travel approximately 22 km by road from Jaipur to Dadiya after his helicopter could not take off due to adverse weather conditions.

HM Shah arrived at Jaipur Airport at around 12:15 PM on Thursday and was scheduled to fly to Dadiya for a major public event.

However, officials confirmed that poor weather conditions grounded the helicopter, forcing him to make the journey by road instead.

Upon arrival in Dadiya, Amit Shah inaugurated the Cooperative Conference and Employment Festival, an event aligned with the United Nations General Assembly’s designation of 2025 as the International Year of Cooperatives.

This initiative forms part of a broader government effort, with 54 cooperative-related tasks assigned to various states, including Rajasthan.

The Minister also visited an exhibition showcasing cooperative products, highlighting the diversity and strength of the sector in the state.

Launch of Key Government Initiatives

During the event, Shah virtually inaugurated 24 grain storage warehouses and 64 millet outlets across Rajasthan, aimed at bolstering agricultural infrastructure and supporting farmers.

A major highlight was the distribution of appointment letters to 8,000 newly selected candidates for government jobs, where HM Shah also interacted with beneficiaries from four districts.

Amit Shah will host a working lunch after the event to discuss governance and organisational matters.

Additionally, officials will distribute loans worth approximately ₹12 crore to 1,400 beneficiaries under the Gopal Credit Card Scheme.

HM Shah will also distribute 2,346 micro ATMs to milk-producing cooperative societies.

One of the key announcements included the launch of the White Revolution 2.0 PDCS online registration platform, designed to streamline operations in the dairy cooperative sector and enhance efficiency.

Further, Shah will flag off 100 new police vehicles during the event, reinforcing law enforcement capabilities in the region.

Dadiya holds considerable political importance for the BJP. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has addressed rallies there twice before. His first visit was on 25 September 2023, just ahead of the Rajasthan Assembly elections, serving as a critical campaign boost.

The second visit on 17 December 2024 marked the BJP government’s first anniversary in the state, when PM Modi laid the foundation for the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal and Eastern Rajasthan Canal projects. Notably, the interstate agreement between Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh was publicly announced at that time.

HM Shah’s public meeting at Dadiya underscores the BJP’s sustained focus on this strategically important venue.

Amit Shah’s First Major Public Engagement in Jaipur After Months

This visit marks Amit Shah’s first major public engagement in Jaipur in nearly three months.

On his last visit, he proceeded directly from the airport to a religious event in the newly formed Kotputli-Behror district without holding public meetings in Jaipur.

Amit Shah’s visit, despite the weather setback, reinforces the central government’s commitment to cooperative development, employment generation, and infrastructure projects in Rajasthan.

These initiatives aim to boost the local economy, improve governance, and support grassroots entrepreneurship in the state.
