Amit Shah To Unveil Yamuna Revival Plan On September 30: Delhi CM

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will unveil the Yamuna Rejuvenation Project on September 30, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced on Friday.

She said the ₹4,000 crore projects, part of the ‘Seva Pakhwada’ celebrations marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, will focus on reviving the Yamuna and combating pollution in a phased manner.

Green Energy Push with Biogas and Solar Plants

Speaking at the launch of a solid waste-to-compressed biogas (CBG) plant in Ghogha Dairy, CM Gupta stressed the government’s commitment to green energy. She inaugurated a 100-tonne-per-day CBG plant with an integrated CBG-CNG fuel station at the site, along with a 25-kilowatt solar rooftop plant at the Delhi Jal Board building in Rithala.

She said the rooftop system would generate more than 28,000 units of clean energy annually and announced plans to install state-of-the-art solar plants on more government buildings.

Earlier, on September 20, the Chief Minister inaugurated a 200 TPD biogas plant in Nangli Dairy.

On Friday, she also laid the foundation stone of a 66 kV grid sub-station in Mubarakpur Dabas, which will provide uninterrupted and quality power supply to 16 feeder areas, including Karala and nearby regions.

Additionally, she inaugurated a modern fire station in Narela, equipped with advanced equipment and disaster management facilities.

Highlighting the city’s progress, CM Gupta said the now flood-free Minto Bridge, the introduction of electric buses, and the shrinking garbage landfills demonstrate Delhi’s transformation.

“Delhi is not only solving old issues but also opening new paths of progress,” she said, adding that the government remains committed to ensuring no part of the city and no citizen is left behind.
