Amit Shah Hails 12 Years Of Modi Govt As ‘Era Of Development And Heritage’

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday lauded the achievements of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government over the past 12 years, stating that the period has witnessed significant progress in both development and cultural preservation.

Taking to X, Shah posted, “The 12 years of the Modi government have been a golden era of the confluence of development and heritage. In these 12 years, on one hand, the construction of Shri Ram Temple, Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, and Ujjain Mahakal Lok took place, while on the other, schemes like PM Awas, Ayushman Bharat, Ann Bhandar, world-class connectivity, infrastructure, and initiatives like ‘Make in India’ have given unprecedented momentum to the country’s development journey.”

“The digitization of 1 crore records, the return of 668 ancient artifacts, the establishment of 11 tribal freedom struggle museums, and granting classical language status to 11 Indian languages—through these, Modi ji has clearly demonstrated that development and heritage are complementary to each other,” the post read.

The remarks came as the government completed 12 years in office under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.

Earlier in the day, Shah met US Ambassador Sergio Gor and discussed strengthening cooperation on counter-terrorism, narcotics control and border security.

Following the meeting, Gor said on X, “Had an excellent meeting with Honorable Home Minister @AmitShah. We had a fruitful discussion on enhancing collaboration to combat terrorism, shield our people from narcotics and illicit drugs, secure our borders, and jointly bring criminals to justice in both nations.”

The meeting followed Prime Minister Modi’s interaction with US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in Evian, France.

Separately, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio recently highlighted strong strategic and counter-terrorism alignment between India and the United States.
