Union Home Minister Amit Shah congratulated India’s women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions team after it won the silver medal at the 2026 Asian Games, praising the shooters for their performance.
Taking to X, Shah posted, “India Strikes Silver! Kudos to India’s Women’s 50m Rifle 3P Team on winning the Silver Medal🥈at the #AsianGames2026. Your victory will certainly inspire more players to bring honours to the nation. Keep up the winning spirit!”

The Indian team featured Tilottama Sen, Vidarsa K Vinod and Ashi Chouksey.
The trio combined for 1,763 points, including 90 inner tens, to finish second in the event.
China secured the gold medal with 1,773 points, while Kazakhstan took bronze with 1,754 points.
The 50m Rifle 3 Positions event requires shooters to compete from kneeling, prone and standing positions.
The team’s silver added another podium finish to India’s shooting campaign at the Aichi-Nagoya Games.
Tilottama and Vidarsa secured places in the women’s individual final after finishing third and sixth, respectively, in qualification.
Tilottama scored 590 points, while Vidarsa recorded 588. Ashi finished with 585 points but did not qualify for the individual final.
The team’s silver medal further added to India’s medal tally in shooting at the continental event.
The result gave the three shooters a podium finish in the team competition as India continued its campaign at the Asian Games.
