All-party Indian parliamentary delegation, led by BJP MP Baijayant Jay Panda, held a vibrant Diwaniya-style interaction with leading voices from Kuwaiti civil society, reaffirming India and Kuwait’s shared resolve to combat terrorism.
The Embassy of India in Kuwait and the think tank Reconnaissance Research co-hosted the event, which brought together members of the Kuwaiti royal family, former ministers, senior editors, academics, and opinion leaders.
Panda shared on the social media platform X, “India’s stand against terrorism is clear & uncompromising — we will confront it wherever it arises. Joined our all-party delegation at a vibrant Diwaniya-style discussion with Kuwaiti civil society, co-hosted by @indembkwt & @ReconnResearch, exchanging views on India-Kuwait shared commitment to fight terrorism.”

Discussions Highlight Strategic Ties And Anti-Terror Unity
According to a statement from the Indian Embassy in Kuwait, the dialogue touched upon India-Kuwait strategic relations and recent developments in the Indian subcontinent.
The delegation, however, explained India’s ‘New Normal’ approach in response to cross-border terrorism, underlining national unity and resolve.
Participants across the spectrum agreed that terrorism is a threat to humanity and must be countered by all means.
Delegation Meets Indian Community & Promotes Operation Sindoor
On Monday, the delegation also met with members of the Indian community in Kuwait. They discussed Operation Sindoor, India’s united anti-terror stance, and the diaspora’s role in national interest.
The delegates visited the Grand Mosque of Kuwait, the country’s largest mosque, renowned for its architectural grandeur and teakwood doors that reflect a historic Indian connection.
The Indian Embassy noted this symbolic link in a post on X.
Later, the delegation paid floral tributes at the Shilaphalakam at the Indian Embassy in Kuwait, honouring brave Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
Meeting With Kuwaiti Deputy PM Addresses Cross-Border Terrorism
The Indian delegation held a key meeting with Sheikh Abdullah Saad Al-Maousherji, Kuwait’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs.
The discussion centred on India’s firm stance against cross-border terrorism, particularly in light of the recent Pahalgam terror attack.
The delegation highlighted Pakistan’s continued role in sponsoring terrorism and outlined India’s measured and targeted response.
They reaffirmed India’s Zero Tolerance and New Normal policy against all forms of terrorism and its supporters.
The Deputy Prime Minister further thanked the Indian delegation and emphasised that terrorism has no justification.
Delegation To Continue Diplomatic Outreach In Kuwait
The delegation will meet more key figures in Kuwait and visit an exhibition highlighting 250 years of India-Kuwait ties.
Their visit forms part of the Operation Sindoor outreach campaign, aimed at mobilising global support against Pakistan-sponsored cross-border terrorism.
